کاونټ اوف مونټې کرسټو د فرانسوي ژبې ناول دې چې اليگزانډرډوما په ۱۸۴۴ م کی وليکلو. کيسه د فرانسې او د اطاليې ترمنځ د مېډيټرېنيا په جزيرو کی د اوسيدونکو ژوند ښايي او د بدل، انصاف او د مهربانۍ داسی داستان دی چې تلوسه رازيږوي. اليگزانډر ډوما پخپله د نولسمې پيړۍ په سر کی يوې داسی نوابي کورنۍ کی زېږېدلی وچې شته مني يې له لاسه ورکړی وه. ده د پاريس د تياتر لپاره د ډرامو په ليکلو پيل وکړ چې د ژوند چاری په مخ بوځي. وروسته دده څو ناولونه چاپ شول چې د هغه وخت د فرانسی د انقلابونو او د سياست حال پکی ليدل کيږي. د مونټې کرسټو نواب د يو ځوان ايډمنډ ډانټې کيسه ده چې د خپلې مينې د لاسه ورته سازشونه کيږي او اخر په يو داسی بندي خانې کی اچول کيږي چې ژوندي تری څوک نه وي راوتلې. خو ډانټې را ووځي او بيا د هغو خلکو نه بدل اخلي چې له ده سره يې زياتې کړی وي.
