1. Introduction

At Ketabton, we value your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information when you use our website and services. By using Ketabton, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

2. Information We Collect

We collect information to provide and improve our service to you.

  • Personal Information: When you register, we collect your name, email address, and encrypted password.
  • Usage Data: We may collect information on how the service is accessed and used, such as your IP address, browser type, and pages visited.
  • Uploaded Content: Books, articles, and metadata you upload are stored and displayed publicly.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected data for various purposes:

  • To provide and maintain our service
  • To notify you about changes to our service
  • To allow you to participate in interactive features (e.g., uploading)
  • To provide customer support
  • To monitor the usage of our service

4. Cookies

We use cookies and similar tracking technologies to track the activity on our service and hold certain information. You can instruct your browser to refuse all cookies or to indicate when a cookie is being sent.

5. Third-Party Services

We may use third-party services such as Google Analytics to monitor and analyze the use of our service. We also support social logins (Google, Facebook) which share basic profile information with us for authentication.

6. Data Retention and Deletion

You can delete your account and the personal data we hold about you at any time. Sign in, open Account Settings, scroll to the Danger Zone section, click Delete My Account, and type DELETE to confirm. Deletion is immediate and permanent, and it cannot be undone.

This removes your profile information (name, email address and encrypted password), your social login connections and passkeys, your bookmarks, your saved reading positions, your sign-in history, and your subscription and download records. Books and articles you published to the library remain publicly available, and we may retain payment records for as long as the law requires.

If you cannot delete your account yourself — because you have published content, because you use an administrator account, or because you have lost access to your login — email us at info@ketabton.com with the subject “Data Deletion Request”. We respond to every request within 30 days and confirm by email once the deletion is complete.

Full step-by-step instructions are available on our Data Deletion Instructions page.

7. Data Security

The security of your data is important to us, but remember that no method of transmission over the Internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure. We strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your personal information.

If you have any questions about this Privacy Policy, please contact us at info@ketabton.com.
