د انگلستان د کلاسيک ادب ناول “پرايډ اينډ پريجوډيس” يا کبراو تعصب په ۱۷۹۷ م کې خپور شو. ليکواله جېن اسټن په ۱۷۷۵ م کی وزيږيده. د ليک ولوست سره سره يې د وړوکي عمر نه د شعر او د وړو ډرامو په ليکلو لاس پوری کړی و. هغی څو ناولونه او لنډی کيسې وليکلی خو په کوم ناول چې دې ته شهرت ورکړو هغه هم دا ناول دی. ناول د اتلسمې پيړۍ د انگلستان د ټولنې حال واي چې دجينکود واده لپاره گران شرايط يې لرل. د بېنيټ ټبر پينځه پېغلې د واده د عمر دي خو پلار يې شته من نه دې. مور يې غواړي چې هر شان وي، لونه يې واده شي او ددې لپاره د هغوي خوښه ورته مهمه نه ده. دناول اتله ايلزبت هوښياره او حساسه جينۍ ده خو د کيسې اتل ډارسي په اړه فکر کوي چې هغه مغروره و. په دې کيسه څو وارې فلمونه جوړ شوي دي او اوس يې هم خلک په شوق ولولي.
