امید اور خوف کی حقیقت

ہر کلمہ گو مسلمان کو اس فکر کی دعوت دیتا ہے کہ وہ اپنے اندر اس قرآن کے مطلوبہ "اللہ کے عذاب" کے خوف کو تلاش کرے اور اگر اپنے آپ کو اس سے عاری پائے تو اس کو اختیاری طور پر پیدا کرنے کی فکری اور عملی کوشش کرے۔ یہی وہ بنیادی خوف ہے؛ جو تقویٰ (یعنی اللہ کی معصیت کے باعث اس کی قربت سے محرومی کا خوف اور اپنے نیک اعمال کے حبط ہونے کا خوف) اور بالآخر خشیت (یعنی اللہ کی عظمت کے باعث اس کا خوف) کی بنیاد ہے۔ اللہ سبحان و تعالٰی کا وعدہ ہے کہ جو شخص اس مطلوبہ خوف سے دنیا میں بے خوف زندگی گزارے گا اللہ تعالٰی یقیناً اس کو آخرت کے تمام مراحل میں اس خوف سے ہمکنار کرے گا جس کی نظیر ممکن نہیں ہے۔
