Data Deletion Instructions

Last Updated: September 15, 2026

This page explains how to delete your Ketabton account and the personal data associated with it. You can do this yourself at any time from your account settings, or you can ask us to do it for you by email.

1. Delete Your Account Yourself

The fastest way to delete your data is from within your account:

  1. Sign in to your Ketabton account.
  2. Go to Account Settings.
  3. Scroll to the Danger Zone section at the bottom of the page.
  4. Click Delete My Account.
  5. On the confirmation page, type DELETE in the confirmation field and submit the form.

Deletion happens immediately. There is no waiting period and the action cannot be undone — once your account is deleted we are not able to restore it or its data.

2. What Is Deleted

When your account is deleted, we permanently remove:

  • Your account and profile information, including your name, email address and encrypted password
  • Any social login connections (Google, Facebook, Apple) and passkeys linked to your account
  • Your bookmarks and saved favorites
  • Your saved reading positions
  • Your sign-in history and activity logs
  • Your subscription plan records and your book and article download history

3. What May Be Retained

Books, articles and other content you published to the library remain publicly available after your account is deleted, because other readers depend on it. For this reason, accounts that have published content cannot be deleted through the self-service option above — see section 4 to have your account and published content reviewed and removed by our team.

We may also retain a limited set of records, such as payment and transaction records, for as long as we are required to by law, accounting or tax obligations. These records are not used to build a profile of you and are deleted once the retention period ends.

4. Request Deletion by Email

Use this option if you cannot delete your account yourself. This applies if:

  • You have published books or articles on Ketabton
  • You use an administrator account
  • You have lost access to your account and can no longer sign in

Email info@ketabton.com from the email address on your account, with the subject “Data Deletion Request”. Tell us whether you want your published content removed as well. We respond to every request within 30 days and email you a confirmation once the deletion is complete.

5. If You Signed In With Facebook, Google or Apple

Removing or revoking Ketabton in your Facebook, Google or Apple account settings stops that provider from sharing any further information with us, but it does not delete the Ketabton account that was created with it, or the data listed in section 2. To delete that data, use the self-service steps in section 1, or email us as described in section 4.

If you have any questions about deleting your data, or about how we handle it, please contact us at info@ketabton.com or read our Privacy Policy.
